Position Overview We are seeking an experienced IC Design Engineer to join our hardware engineering team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in integrated circuit design—from architecture and modeling through implementation, verification, and tape-out. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and manufacturable ICs for next-generation products. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of analog, digital, or mixed-signal integrated circuits from concept through production. Define architectural specifications and contribute to system-level design decisions. Develop behavioral and structural models using Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, or other relevant HDLs. Perform schematic capture, circuit simulation, design optimization, and layout reviews. Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure accurate physical implementation and meet performance, area, and power targets. Conduct design verification, including simulation, characterization, corner analysis, and validation of silicon results. Work with test engineering teams to define test plans, troubleshoot issues, and support ATE testing. Document design specifications, methodologies, and results for internal and external stakeholders. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers. Support cross-functional collaboration with packaging, reliability, and fabrication partners. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in IC design (analog, digital, mixed-signal, or RF). Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor, etc.). Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics and design methodologies. Demonstrated experience taking at least one IC design from concept to tape-out and silicon validation. Ability to analyze and debug complex circuit and system-level issues. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Preferred: Experience with high-temperature or Radhard designs. Experience in silicon bring-up, post-silicon validation, and production ramp. Familiarity with scripting/automation (Python, Perl, TCL, etc.). Knowledge of DFT, timing analysis, or signal integrity.
